Max has mind control powers -- what does this mean? Well, it means that he sometimes mentally "pushes" people's minds to persuade them to do what he wants.

He can also erase and implant memories, as well as control multiple people's minds at once. Whenever he uses his power, he gets a nosebleed. Using it on a lot of people at once results in more extreme bleeding (eyes/ears/mouth), but that's not relevant to this post. This post is to basically opt in or plot or clarify or whatever the hell you want to do!

I won't have him use his ability on anyone without permission even if you do post here, so worry not! But this is a general opt-in, I won't spring anything on anyone, nothing bad happens if you don't fill this out. But it's helpful. Most of this stuff also may never ever come up, but if you are interested in any of it for plotting reasons let me know. Further details on his range and limitations can be found in his application.

Is there anything he just CAN'T make them do? It may be tougher to get him to respond to something with extreme anger because of the way he tends to keep that tacked down, but not by any means impossible.

Can your character be affected by mind control? I'm really conflicted on this; Zatanna was able to completely boot J'onn out of her mind even while being unconscious and affected by outside sources, but she was shown as having forgotten Max. Presumably, if he focused on just her and put a lot of effort into it, he could! Once she's aware of something like this having happened, though, she'll take necessary precautions to shield her mind.
Is there anything he just CAN'T make them do? Getting her to hurt or betray her friends would be difficult, depending on the extremity.

If so, in what ways would they be most vulnerable to manipulation? She's most vulnerable when it comes to her relationships with other people. Like most mages in the DCU, she has a track record of all the people she becomes particularly close to dying or using her. Plant the seed, the rest will follow.
Are you open to him erasing/implanting memories (if so, what kind?)? Maybe! If it's toward a specific end, I can assume some sort of fluke in her mental defenses.

It seems like Max's memory alteration works differently than his mind control, since he can't control Diana either but was able to make her forget him? So I'm totally cool with him not being able to control Zee (or having to focus super hard) -- however you end up wanting to do it if ever applicable!

It would be hard to make him do something that would effect the balance of demons/earth and other dimensions/etc. It's not entirely impossible, especially since the City doesn't really have anything like that. However, Strange is programmed to value that kind of thing above all else, even if it isn't strictly his "job" anymore.

If so, in what ways would they be most vulnerable to manipulation? Personal relationships and anything regarding his failures as the Sorcerer Supreme.

Can your character be affected by mind control? This is kind of a toughie! Doom was immune from the Purple Man because, well basically he's a badass and can't be tamed (his willpower was too great). However, he was present in the House of M, thus implying that really world-breaking skills could do it? I'm open to the possibility, but it should probably be extremely difficult for him.
Is there anything he just CAN'T make them do? No, Doom is pretty ruthless. It's the end result, not the means to it.

There is some canon precedent for Max not being able to mind control certain people, but still able to affect them in his global mindwipe (not that he'll likely be doing that in game ever, but...) so that actually works out pretty well! But also we can always hash things out more specifically however you end up wanting to do it if ever applicable for plot.

Is there anything he just CAN'T make them do? I think that Xanatos is morally gray enough that Max can make him do pretty much anything. Just keep in mind that he's from a Disney cartoon, albiet a pretty dark one. Nothing too skeevy (he can totally kill people though).
Are you open to him pushing your character's mind? Yep.
If so, in what ways would they be most vulnerable to manipulation? That...is a good question. Probably trying to undermine or doubt his authority? Xanatos has placed a lot of emphasis on the fact that he's a self-made man, and any accusations that he hasn't worked his way to the top or that people are letting him do something would make him pretty darn vulnerable.

Can your character be affected by mind control? I AM ASSUMING YES. He's a powerful magician but not like, out and out powerful. I'm also assuming that Klarion and Teekl are a two-for-one deal with mind control because of that whole familiar thing.

If so, in what ways would they be most vulnerable to manipulation? Teekl. Teekl is Klarion's best buddy ever, and any threat to Teekl will make Klarion totally stop what he's doing and listen. Aside from that, just ridiculous childish things. Like the promise of adventure, people making fun of him, stuff like that.
